Skillram LLC ("Skillram," "we," "us," or "our") values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). The Platform connects clients (“Clients”) with independent service providers (“Service Providers” or “SPs”) throughout Virginia, Washington D.C., and Maryland.
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should discontinue use of the Platform.
1. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide
We collect personal and business information that you voluntarily provide when registering, creating a profile, or using the Platform, including but not limited to:
Full name, email address, and phone number
Physical address (for service locations)
Payment information (processed securely by third-party payment processors)
Profile details, including photos, service descriptions, and professional qualifications
Communications with Clients, Providers, or Skillram support
Reviews, ratings, and feedback submitted through the Platform
B. Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Platform, we automatically collect certain technical and usage information, such as:
Device type, operating system, and browser type
IP address
Geolocation data (if enabled on your device)
Usage information, including pages viewed, actions taken, and time spent on the Platform
Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 4 below)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected for the following purposes:
To provide, operate, and maintain the Platform
To connect Clients with qualified SPs
To process and facilitate secure payments
To enable communication between Clients and SPs
To respond to inquiries and provide customer support
To personalize and improve your user experience
To monitor, detect, and prevent fraud, abuse, or illegal activity
To comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations
3. Sharing of Your Information
Skillram does not sell your personal information. We may share information only as follows:
Service Providers (Vendors): With trusted third parties that support our operations (e.g., payment processors, hosting providers, customer support tools).
Clients and SPs: To the extent necessary to fulfill service requests, we share relevant contact and job information between Clients and SPs.
Legal Authorities: When required by law, subpoena, legal process, or to protect Skillram’s rights, property, or safety.
Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the successor entity.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to:

Analyze Platform usage and performance
Improve the quality and functionality of our services
You may adjust your browser settings to block cookies; however, some Platform features may not function properly if cookies are disabled.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You use the Platform at your own risk.
6. Your Choices and Rights
Account Information: You may access, update, or delete your account information by logging into your Skillram account.
Communications: You may opt out of marketing emails by following the unsubscribe link in those emails. Transactional and service-related communications will continue.
Data Requests: You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at contact@skillram.com.
7. Third-Party Links
The Platform may include links to third-party websites or services. Skillram is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those external sites.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Platform is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we may have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately at contact@skillram.com.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Skillram may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy on the Platform and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.

Terms of Service

Welcome to Skillram LLC ("Skillram," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"), which connect clients ("Clients") with independent service providers ("Service Providers" or "SPs").
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use Skillram.
1. Overview of Services
Skillram provides an online marketplace where Clients can request services and SPs can offer their skills.
Skillram does not perform services itself.
Skillram is not a party to any agreement between Clients and SPs.
SPs are independent contractors, not employees, partners, or agents of Skillram.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform.
By creating an account, you represent that you are legally able to enter into binding agreements and comply with these Terms.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
Provide accurate and updated information
Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
Be responsible for all activities under your account
Skillram may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Payments and Fees
A. Client Payments
Clients agree to pay for services booked through the Platform.
Payments are processed securely through third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe).
Platform Fee: In addition to service costs, Skillram charges a platform fee. This fee helps Skillram:
Manage and maintain the Platform
Screen and match Clients with qualified Service Providers (SPs)
Perform background checks to support safety and trust
Fund marketing and outreach to grow opportunities for Clients and SPs
Support software development, customer support, and operational costs
This fee ensures the sustainability of a safe, reliable, and professional marketplace for all users.
B. Service Provider Payments
SPs set their own rates.
Skillram deducts a commission or service fee from each transaction.
Payouts to SPs are released after service completion, subject to standard processing times.
C. Refunds & Disputes
Refunds are handled case-by-case.
Clients or SPs may contact contact@skillram.com to initiate a dispute.
Skillram may mediate disputes but is not liable for outcomes.
5. User Responsibilities
All users agree to:
Use the Platform in a lawful, respectful, and professional manner
Not post false, misleading, or harmful content
Not engage in platform circumvention (avoiding fees by working outside Skillram)
Not engage in harassment, discrimination, or illegal activities
Comply with all applicable laws in Virginia, Washington D.C., and Maryland
6. Service Provider Verification
Skillram conducts identity verification and background checks on SPs.
SPs must demonstrate relevant skills, qualifications, and licenses where applicable.
Clients are encouraged to perform their own due diligence when selecting SPs.
7. Reviews and Ratings
Clients may leave reviews and ratings of SPs.
By submitting content, you grant Skillram a royalty-free license to use it.
You may not post false, defamatory, or misleading reviews.
Skillram reserves the right to remove inappropriate content.
8. Intellectual Property
All rights in the Platform—including software, content, logos, and trademarks—are owned by Skillram.
Users may not copy, modify, or distribute Skillram content without written consent.
9. Disclaimers
At Skillram LLC, your trust and safety are our top priorities. We carefully review and approve only those SPs who meet our strict qualification standards.
Every SP must demonstrate proven skills, relevant experience, and required licenses (where applicable).
A background check is performed to help ensure that only trustworthy and reliable SPs are permitted to serve Clients.
Our vetting process is designed to filter out unqualified applicants and maintain a network of skilled professionals.
All services are ultimately performed by independent SPs. While Skillram takes significant measures to ensure quality, the responsibility for service delivery rests with the SP.
10. Trust & Safety
To further protect Clients and SPs, Skillram implements:
Background checks for SPs to confirm identity and trustworthiness
Ongoing monitoring of performance, cancellations, and ratings
Fraud prevention systems to safeguard payments and accounts
Dedicated support to assist Clients and SPs in resolving issues quickly
Insurance options (where available) to help protect against unforeseen damages
These measures are in place to maintain a safe, reliable, and professional environment for all users.
11. Liability
All services arranged through the Platform are performed solely by independent Service Providers (SPs). Skillram does not perform or supervise services directly.
Each SP bears full responsibility and liability for the services they provide, including any damages, losses, injuries, or claims arising from their work.
SPs are required to represent and warrant that they are qualified, fully skilled, and legally capable of performing the services they offer.
In certain categories of services, SPs may be required to maintain valid liability insurance or equivalent coverage. Skillram strongly encourages all SPs to maintain such coverage at all times.
Skillram permits access to the Platform only to those SPs who have undergone vetting, capability assessments, and background checks designed to ensure quality and reliability.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Skillram shall not be held liable for any damages, claims, disputes, or losses resulting from services rendered by SPs.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Skillram, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
Your use of the Platform
Your breach of these Terms
Your disputes or interactions with other users
13. Termination
Skillram may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms or other reasons at its discretion.
Upon termination, you lose access to the Platform and related content.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law rules.
Any legal disputes must be resolved in a state or federal court located in Virginia.
15. Changes to Terms
Skillram may update these Terms periodically.
Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes your acceptance.
Significant changes will be communicated via the Platform or email.

By using Skillram, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.
Skillram LLC – Client Cancellation Policy
At Skillram LLC, we recognize that plans may change. However, to ensure fairness and respect for the time and commitment of our Service Providers (SPs), the following cancellation policy applies:
Cancellations Within 24 Hours of Scheduled Job Start Time
Hourly Rate Jobs
If a Client cancels within 24 hours of the scheduled job start time, the Client will be charged one (1) hour at the agreed-upon hourly rate.
Fixed Rate Jobs
If a Client cancels within 24 hours of the scheduled job start time, the Client will be charged 50% of the total agreed-upon fixed rate.
Processing of Cancellation Fees
Applicable cancellation fees will be automatically charged to the Client’s payment method on file.
These fees are intended to fairly compensate the SP for reserved time and lost opportunities.
Exceptions
In cases of documented emergencies or unforeseen circumstances, Skillram may, at its sole discretion, waive cancellation fees.
Clients must contact support@skillram.com immediately to request a review and provide supporting documentation if required.
Skillram LLC – SP (Service Provider) Cancellation Policy
At Skillram LLC, we value reliability, professionalism, and client trust. All SPs (Service Providers) are expected to honor accepted job commitments. Unjustified cancellations disrupt Clients and negatively impact the integrity of the Skillram platform.
Unjustified Cancellations
If an SP cancels a job without a valid reason—especially within 24 hours of the scheduled start time—the following will apply:
The cancellation will be recorded on the SP’s account.
Clients may be notified of the cancellation.
Repeated or frequent unjustified cancellations may result in disciplinary actions, including temporary suspension or permanent removal from the platform, at Skillram’s sole discretion.
Rescheduling Encouraged
Before canceling, SPs are strongly encouraged to:
Attempt to reschedule the project with the Client at a mutually convenient time.
Communicate alternative availability promptly and professionally.
Use the Skillram platform to update scheduling details when rescheduling is agreed upon.
Rescheduling helps maintain client trust, reduces disruption, and may prevent cancellation penalties.
Acceptable Reasons for Cancellation
Valid reasons for an SP to cancel include, but are not limited to:
Personal or family emergencies
Verified illness or injury
Unsafe or hazardous job site conditions
Severe weather or natural disasters
Circumstances beyond the SP’s control (e.g., transportation breakdown, Client non-cooperation)
SP Responsibilities When Cancelling
If cancellation is necessary, SPs must:
Notify Skillram Support immediately at support@skillram.com.
Communicate promptly with the Client about the cancellation.
Provide supporting documentation if requested (e.g., medical certificate, weather advisory, etc.).
Failure to comply with these requirements may result in stricter penalties.
Additional Notes
All cancellations are reviewed by Skillram on a case-by-case basis.
Even justified cancellations may affect the SP’s reliability rating and visibility on the platform.
If a cancellation causes significant Client inconvenience, additional penalties, loss of bonuses, or reduced platform access may apply.

Legal Statement – Skillram LLC
Skillram LLC ("Skillram," "we," or "us") operates a technology platform that facilitates connections between clients ("Clients") and independent service providers ("Service Providers"). Skillram functions solely as an intermediary and does not perform or guarantee any services offered by Service Providers.
Independent Contractor Relationship:
Service Providers engaged through Skillram are independent contractors. They are not employees, partners, or agents of Skillram. Service Providers are solely responsible for determining the means and methods of providing services, including obtaining any necessary tools, equipment, licenses, and insurance.
Tax Compliance:
Skillram collects tax information from Service Providers in accordance with applicable law. U.S.-based Service Providers are required to complete IRS Form W‑9. Skillram will issue IRS Form 1099‑NEC to Service Providers who receive aggregate payments of $600 or more in a calendar year, as required by the Internal Revenue Service. Clients are not responsible for tax reporting for Service Providers; this obligation rests solely with Skillram.
Commission and Payment:
Skillram earns a commission for facilitating the connection between Clients and Service Providers. Commission rates and payment terms are disclosed to all parties within the platform prior to engagement.
Limitation of Liability:
Skillram does not warrant or guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by Service Providers. All agreements and disputes related to services performed are solely between the Client and the Service Provider. Skillram shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from such services.
Governing Law:
This agreement and all matters arising from it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which Skillram LLC is incorporated, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
